JIUTEPEC, Morelos, Mexico –Nissan Mexico is proudly celebrating the 50th anniversary of CIVAC Plant, the company's first manufacturing complex outside Japan.Nissan CIVAC Plant established the beginning of a longstanding tradition in innovation, research, commitment and the highest quality standards in vehicle manufacturing that continually contribute to the excellence the brand delivers.Since this manufacturing complex was the first one established outside Japan, it was also Nissan's first step towards consolidating its global strategy.As part of his message during the 50th anniversary celebration, José Muñoz, executive vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and chairman, Nissan North America, Inc., highlighted the importance of those leaders who trusted in Mexico 50 years ago, as well as Nissan Mexico's response to that commitment, thus establishing as a global manufacturing benchmark for the corporation."Nissan Mexico's manufacturing record numbers achieved year after year wouldn't be possible without the sum of CIVAC Plant's manufacturing capacity which adds to the extraordinary work delivered by Aguascalientes A1 and A2 plants," said Muñoz. "Nissan Mexico completed an all-time record number in the automotive industry by achieving an annual output of almost 830,000 manufactured vehicles in 2015 fiscal year.
