Driving alone the A40 home the other day I got stuck behind a tipper lorry and couldn't get past it. Next thing there's a "clunk".......I look round but all seems well. Then last night I noticed one of my headlights was letting in water:angry:........yup a tiny crack up by the indicator area. I have a spare so it just means taking it off and shoving it back in the oven, cleaning it up, resealing.......I could do without it, but I'm quite the expert now on getting the headlights out. Won't get it done before Saturday though:glare:

Sorry to hear that mate, there a pain in the rear and have no respect for other road users? there supposed to sweep them off before moving? everyday i come out of my house to find my motor covered in lumps of dirt thanks to them building a new estate at the top of our road, and they all drive like a bunch of tits :cursing:

Hope you get it sorted mate and at least you have a spare unit to replace it with(even though you shouldn't have to if the drivers secured there loads properly!) Sad

Yeah I think it's the stones and cr@p that gets stuck in the tyre tread when they leave the site, then it gets flung out once the truck picks up speed on the A roads. Could have been worse, could have been the windscreen:w00t:

I've got the other headlight in the oven as we speak.......15mins @ 100 degrees cooks it just right:wink:

No way, but like you say could have been worse like the windscreen or a big chip right in the middle of your bonnet.

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

**** that's quite harsh, but as above it's lucky it didn't hit the windscreen or bonnet as that would have been much worse.

Yeah I'm just a bit pi**ed as I have an MOT up at the end of the month......plus the Ace meet Saturday. I'll definately get it done for the MOT.......the replacement lens is now in the fridge letting the excess glue that I couldn't scrape off it, set hard, then I'll Dremmel it off smooth........Ha, I used to put boxes of maggots in the fridge when I used to go fishing quite alot, now it's headlight lens......:w00t:

Got this sorted on Friday morning, I fitted an old lens cover, not 100% happy with it as it's an old lens and is very noticable compared to the newer headlight on the other side. Guess I'll keep my eyes open for a new one.:tongue_smilie:

On another note the car flew through it's MOT today so I was well happy.

I'll post some pics tommorrow.
