so being a noobie thought i had better post up a history of my mr2 and then i can update as i go along too.
i have owned this mr2 now for about 18 months and still loving it.
as i bought it this is the list of mods she had on it:
BK 299 18” wheels (Continental 235's and Falken 215's)
Cusco Coilovers
Goodridge brake lines
Fetsport front and rear braces
MR2 Mk2 Rev3 Engine (put in July 2007, done approx 5k miles)
MR2 Mk2 Rev3 Turbo (CT20)

Border front bumper
Toms skirts (with spats)
Phonex power rear spats
Rev3 Spoiler
Rev3 rear lights (with US spec side running reflectors)
Rev6 low rise lights

Apexi Filter
Haywood & Scott exhaust
HKS SQV BOV
Helix paddle clutch
Findanza flywheel

Omori boost guage (stock location)
HKS turbo timer
Ital Volante wheel
TRD Gear Knob
Rev3 Shifter
JVC Headunit
Half leather/alcantera seats in good condition
Alam/Immobiliser

these are the pics of when i bought it:

this is also the pic of what she looked like a few owners before me why the front spoiler i don't know it looked awful:

so after a long drive home i had decided that the farting noise they called a stereo was not up to standard, i am not one of these people who like all the big booming in your face speaker system, i like to keep it looking factory spec with a half decent sound
so i uprated the front door speakers to infiniti 6.5 inch ones in the standard place, i then put kenwood 5 inch speakers in the original position by the seat belt and some kenwood 6.5 inch speakers where the factory bass boxs sit behind the seat, after all that i obviously needed an amp to power it so removed the passenger seat and ran the wires under the carpet to a kenwood amp under the seat.
the speakers behind the seat:

and the fitting of the amp:

The reason for the front spoiler is when these car hit 110 mph they go so light at the frontend and need some down force.
So i can understand fully why someone add this to the MR2 but i have to also to agree that it makes the car look awful.

What is the brake hp on this car?
They had so many different bhp mine was 240 bhp standard.

so with the stereo sorted to a nice sound i decided to get a stainless steel clock surround to liven the plain japanese all black interior:
note where the boost controller is sitting as that is being moved later in the update.
i also decided that if you have a nice shiny exhaust why not flaunt it so i cut away the rear grille to show off the twin exhaust box:
then a not nice day came, i pulled out of a junction not fast i hasten to add when the backend decided to overtake the front i managed to it back in control, put my foot back on the throttle and lost it again hit the kerb and came to a standstill. i could not work out why the backend came out so easily until i stepped on the road to get a bit of my car to only slip and land on my **** there must have been a diesal spillage at the junction.
so this is the damage that happened:
so i decided to take it off the road for a month and sort it out.
i removed the bumper and repaired it myself:

Yeah I understand the logic behind it however I would rather run the risk than make my car look like that Big Grin

whilst off the road i decided to get the wheels refurbed as they were looking tatty and also i felt the black didn't make them stand out very well, you cant see it on the pics but the lips have a slight polish to them. they came out better than i could possibly have imagined.
the day my car got up late and put odd shoes on
and with the new set on and bumper finished and sprayed too:
also decided whilst off the road to relocate the boost gauge and turbo timer, i thought best place for them so i can get to both easy and not look clutered would be in the air vent so out came the centre console:
and in went the controllers:
i also fitted a single wiper and cleaned and sprayed the frunk too:
after that i got it back on the road and enjoyed it.

until someone sent me a message saying that they had a genuine toms rear spoiler up for sale and wandered if i wanted 1st refusal. i have been after one of these spoilers from the day i picked up the car and they were either way too expensive, in bad condition or not a genuine toms spoiler. i will add now all the bodykit on the car is genuine items, hence the reason i wanted a genuine spoiler.
so back to the story i literally ripped the chaps arm off got it sprayed removed my old spoiler and smothed over the aerial hole.
and a shot of the spoilerless look:
and the finished product:

and that brings me up to date.
what are my future plans on her?
cosmetic wise i have nothing really else planned at some stage i am thinking of getting it fully resprayed and if a genuine border front bonnet comes up on the market i might have to buy one.
otherwise it's all really going to be engine work but 1st i've got to save.

i'm not too sure as it's not been on the rollers i would guestimate it at around 260bhp, but being so light and torquey it feels more, i have had people asking the same question and then go out in it saying "thats no way that power it's easily 350 bhp" but i know it's not
