Just a thought on the new member sign up, would it not be possible to get one of those letter/number generator things so new members have to input the code to verify there human, would this help avoid Spambots siging up.

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

Andy there is some software on the forum already that does help with spyware/spambolts etc.
The club decided to allow everyone the chance to join and post and if they started to spam then we would remove them from the site.

It is a fine line that we have taken but decided that everyone should be given a chance on the forum.

The forum management normally check all odd looking accounts on sign up and if we are worried about certain account we will watch them just to make sure everyone else fun is not spoilt by the few.

If any member feels a account is not what it should be then you can always alert a member of the team.
This can be done by pm or by the triangle sign at the top of each post/thread.

At the moment we have not been able to remove the sign up name but we have blocked this spammer the chance to log back in.

What I was thinking more was blocking the automated Spammers that are set up using computers not actual people, e-bay have the system I was thinking of where you have to put in a random code manually i've seen it on other sites too and it just stops machines accessing the site to flood it with Spam, fair enough it wouldn't stop actual people joining up to do this but could help reduce the threat. If that makes sense.

Yeah we already have that, but some spambots can get around it unfortunately.

Right cool didn't realise we had the little box thing with the code in, that must stop the pre programmed systems getting through though just not the actual human element.
