Just dropped off the car for it service tomorrow they have lent me a little AYGO

I only have a small service with auto gear box oil being changed and air con is going to be recharged.

I almost feel its a waste of money as the car running prefect.

But it keeps the service history up to date.

How do you feel about having your car serviced when it does not really need it?

I do it myself car never came with much history anyway so I don't need to pay dealer prices.

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

Marsdendean I service mine when it needs it IE 10,000 miles or 1 year.

Mine needs a service at the moment, inc gearbox oil, but cant afford it. May look into doing it myself or pay some to help me out!

Gearbox oil, thats well easy, get some axle stands, and do it yourself. i'd say £10 at most for the oil.

speak to Ormi, he did a good walkthrough for the gearbox and diff oil changes.

I like having it serviced once a year regardless of how the car feels or how much mileage it's done - I don't know what's going on in there so it's nice to have it checked over.

I find the modern service indicators quite uncomfortable as if you do little mileage it's easy to go 2 years without it saying it needs a service............

50K was quite cheap if I remember correctly, somewhere around £200 I think.

50K for an IS200 should only be a minor service. So you could probably do it yourself if you wanted.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
