Well I must be one of the last people with a IS200 to finally get a HID kit for my car.

I bought a 6000k HID kit off ebay for £56 (from a UK seller- I'd rather pay a bit more for a UK sourced kit, I didn't want to ship faulty items back to China/Hong Kong for replacements). I bought the kit on Monday and it was delivered the next day- free P&P as well! I installed the kit last night.

I am happy with the kit I have bought as the ballasts are tiny- they are the size of a credit card and they have the same thickness of a lighter.

A ballast from the kit I bought:

As you can see, the ballast is the same size as my Capital One credit card.

Can you tell which headlight has a HID bulb in and which one doesn't?

6000k's HID's installed in both headlights:

I placed the ballast for the passengers side headlight on the front of the passengers side suspension tower (behind the black box which has the car's ECU in).

I also used velcro strips to stick the ballasts to the bodywork.

Ah ok...my one is sitting on top of the airbox right now...i reallyy need to find a more suitaable place for it as i think it might be heating up the intake air...and my driver one is screwed to the back of the bracket that holds the powersteerin fluid

Velcro strips of sticky adhesive pads are a good way to secure the ballast. You should be able to squeeze the passenger side one at the side of one of the plastic boxes in that area, using sticky pads etc.
