My insurance is due at the end of Dec, so have been toying with the idea of changing my car when I change insurance. As i'll be (hopefully) getting my first years NCB through.
But I have failed to find anything that takes my fancy, looked at a Legacy RS (which I very very very nearly bought), and a Nissan 200SX. As well as dragging the other half round every local importer garage every sunday aft LOL!
Yet I have found nothing to drag me away from my Lexus. So have decided to hang on to it for another year. With the past year being difficult for cash flow, due to work issues, I have havent been able to do a lot of stuff I had planned for the IS.
So as of xmas I shall be back on track, and got a list as long as my arm that I want to get started on!
First off, think Santa is bringing me some lowering springs, so will get them fitted and laser aline the suspension.
Also painting the wheels black, till I can muster the cash to replace them.
Getting stainless steel suspension tower covers. Then silicone hoses, kevlar timing belt, and a decent service in Jan.
Future plans are to try out replicate some dash pieces out of caron fibre. Get some lightwieght alloys and Arb's and upgrade the rear brakes to match the front.
Then if thats done by end of next year, will either switch cars at insurance re-newale date or head down turbo route.

Always great to get new toys.
However when you set your Geo back up get the WIM settings and go to somewhere that will use them on the proper machine, otherwise you are wasting your money.
If you go to the local garage and they use their "laser" alignment system they are aligning your front wheels with your rear wheels, they also only align one or two of the axis and not the one that you need aligning. Now if your rear wheels are out of alignment then no matter what they do they will not be able to align your fronts and you will still have the typical IS200 inner tyre tread wear problem.
They will need checking, but Arbs shouldn't alter your Geo, only stiffen the whole lot up, but fitting them could knock the geo out a tiny bit - new parts and all that.
You don't have to go to WIM, givt Tony a call he can recommend places nearer to you - he is a top bloke!!
