Welcome oedipus

Welcome mate!
hows the IS running?
Hi!
What a warm welcome! Thanks guys! Was about time I got registered here.
Having a bit of trouble with my precats, Stav. Had some error codes on the engine indicating cat failure. After resetting, it came back 3x. I suppose the precats could very well be desintegrating. Must have that checked, but taking it off isn't an easy job.
Any advice would be appreciated.
For those (the majority) that don't know me, I'm a Belgian (living in Antwerp region) and owner of a '00 Lexus IS 200 TTE Compressor.
I did a few modifications:
- TTE Compressor kit fitted (black box)
- K&N airfilter (still looking for the correct size, had to cut mine up a bit)
- Eibach Pro-Kit (-3cm F/R)
- TTE GT-One rims (Speedline SL2113) in silver (new)
- TTE GT-One rims (Speedline SL2113) in matt black powdercoated (refurbished)
- Blueflame exhaust (yummy, now I hear the engine!)
- DOT 5.1 brake fluid (what a difference!)
Future mods to come (in order of probability):
- decat exhaust manifold: since the TTE ones are no longer available, I'd like to make my own custom where the ceramic precats are cut and replaced by steel precats, just like the TTE. Since that is more of a longer term project and I need my problem sorted quickly, I'm in the process of purchasing a precatless standard exhaust manifold (or how is that thing exactly called?) where the precats have been cut & replaced by a straight tube. Since that is not allowed over here, over I'd like to have the steel precat conversion. Still looking for the info though...
- 200 cell Magnaflow sportcat (same story, not allowed, but it sits in my cellar already...)
- braided steel brake & clutchlines (again, not allowed over here, duh!)
- Bilstein shocks (will be replaced when mine are gone)
- Pagid Blue brake pads (when mine are gone)
- TTE or Eibach ARB's (or any other, tips welcome, not allowed btw.)
- big brake kit (bigger calipers or Supra disks or so, not sure if allowed...)
CU later!
Francis
when i had my charger i took the manifold off, got someone to cut it open, scraped out the precats then welded it back up.
then once the heat shields are put back on you cant tell anythings been done.
