if a car is parked in garage for longer periods would the battery hold its charge longer if it was disconected or would it make no difference. Huh:biggrin:

If you disconnect the poles from the battery it will last much longer. That is what I do when I go offshore for 2-3 months. When I return the battery is always is good working condition.

Disconected would be a better way to store your battery, or buy a trickle charger and that would keep your battery fully charge.
Here a link to one..

I would not leave it on charge for that long, you never know what could happen when you are not there, charger goes on fire burns down garage, no more Lex

One of these is better to use while your away? CLICK ME?
If you can find one with a bigger output wattage it'll be better?

Most of them have a cut out/ overcharge function so it turns off when the battery is full? and pretty cheap to buy :thumbup1:

Lexus IS200 Sport Navigator (Now being stripped again)

Do those things actually work ? I've always been a bit dubious of them.
