Hi Everyone,

As some of you know i have been thinking of changing my car for a little while and i am properly thinking about it alot more now.

As most of you know im going into hospital for a heart operation at the end of this month/start of feb and while im in my car is going up to TGT to have a few things sorted. New front ball joint, wheel bearing etc

Now what im thinking is this will be the perfect time to get rid of the car as i will pretty much be house bound so won't need the car. Don't get me wrong i love the car to bits but after getting more involved with the Demon i just don't enjoy the lex as much as i used to. This is only my second car and you never know i may be back in a lex in the future. Its getting old now and its done nearly 150k and this is another reason for maybe getting rid. Plus the fuel is just crippling me, i am spending about £70 a week just getting to and from work.

I have been looking at a few cars and i really am in love with...................waits for the hairdresser comments..........the mk1 mx5 Confusedhock: I know most people see them as girly cars and to be honest in standard form they do look like that. But with a few mods they can look fantastic in my opinion.

Of cousre Sarah aint happy as she loves the Lex but she can see why i want to change. After her accident i just can't afford to insure her on my car otherwise i could drive her 1.0 litre yaris during the week and my lex at the weekends.

I have had a liitle look and i think i can sell my lex and end up with quite a tidy, low mileage MX5. Not too sure what one as there is a 1.6 and a 1.8 litre engine. I nedd to reduce my fuel costs so i may go for the 1.6. Plus i will be using it for a bit of track action and maybe a bit of drift also :Fish:

There are some amazingly cheap parts for them also and i have fell in love with a kit that just transforms the look of the car to look like a baby cobra, its really expensive but i love it. will find some pics now.

What do people think of the MX5, i know what most people will say but you never know.

The doctor said i need as many cakes as possible :thumbup:

Im not too sure weather to strip a few bits off the car or sell as is. I really don't know how much the car is worth to be honest??? If i do decide to remove parts you already have dibs on the registration plate

I guess i will make more money taking a few bits off but i don't know if i will be well enough? They have said i can't lift anything heavier than a full kettle for 3 months  so can't really work on the car!

Be a shame to see the IS go mate as its a nice motor, but think you should go for it, as there's always time to have another IS if you ever wanted to :thumbup1:
