Cheers guys, always thought it was 40mm drop before you had to start messing with Geo etc. but hoped I could get away with 50, TBH i'm probably lookin for a cheap fix because my shocks are still the originals so would be no good with new springs anyways, just really really wanna lower the car as cheap as possible as i'm skint at the mo and it needs dropping:crying:

What's the situation with camber adjusters, is it just B15 RUP that has some ?
I imagine that plenty of IS300 guys in the US must have dropped their cars very low, whilst not all might have sensible geo, I would think there's a good chance they have custom adjusters over there.

Fitted many Tenzo springs to cars Andy in the past and most seem ok , did have a few people come to me saying after a couple of weeks they had rust on them and admitedly the powder coating had started to peel off and rust was appearing , nothing a touch up with some Hammerite would'nt cure tho .
Also dropping 50mm may alter the caster/camber settings so it may be a good idea to get these checked if you do go for it , personally I think 30mm is more than ample mate.

This is one of my hobby horses, but I think discussing "drop" figures is meaningless in regard to the IS200, because there seem to be several different inital ride heights. So unless you know what the "drop" has been measured against, it doesn't mean anything, because it could result in a different drop on your car.
Early cars rode a *lot* higher than later ones. I measured the initial ride height of my 1999 Sport and it was higher than a later model, non-lowered, SE ! So a single set of springs might produce a drop of, say (making up numbers here) 40mm on my car but only 20mm on the later car.
Those "50mm" lowering springs in eBay might lower a later car 50mm, so might lower an earlier car say, 70mm !
Beware if you don't know what the final ride height will be (e.g. if you can't find someone with those springs on who can measure the ride height for you).
