It's been 114.9/ltr around where I live for over a month now - and yes I agree I have no idea why the fuel prices have rocketed upwards.......

Weirdest thing is that where I work fuel is 107.9............that's 7p difference between the two areas!

We roll over and take it in this country because the Gov know we will pay regardless of the price.

My friend in North Carolina pays $2 for a gallon of fuel.

2tongues My friend in North Carolina pays $2 for a gallon of fuel.

Yep I only got back from the US a few weeks ago, was really shocked to have been paying 107p/ltr when I left, then $2.70/gallon in the US, and then back here to find it at 114p/ltr!

well thats the main point - out transport system is being crippled by the cost of running their trucks. They should have a tax break on fuel, anything over 7.5Ton gets "X" amount off fuel duty. Interestingly coaches get VAT free fuel if they are over 18 seats.

Well you find that you pay nearly 200% tax on every litre of fuel as fuel is a round 40p a litre the rest is made up of goverment tax
