I am thinking to fit an oil cooler kit on my IS200. Has anyoned fitted an oiler cooler kit? I have found out that due to the limited space in the engine bay if i fit an oil cooler kit i must fit a smaller oil filter. Does anyone know what filter to fit? (Dimensions of the filter maybe?). I have found quite a few oil filter kit in USA for the IS300. Will they fit on the IS200? I suppose they must.

the kit from the 300 should fit the 200, but like gord said you'll need a smaller filter.

I have one on mine and its a good bit of kit. but i have more room by the filter so i have room for two sandwich plates and a full size filter lol

Gord i have had one, works well to be honest mate, you have to mess about with the sandwich plate to make the standard oil filter fit or use the smaller TRD oil filter, as you look at the front of your car, i had mine fitted to the right side behind the grill, top of rad, oil pipes went down side of ecu box to oil filter, oil cooler was small but did the job very well as i had oil temp gauge in the car Big Grin

I was thinking to fit the cooler at the same position mate. Thanks for the advice of the TRD oil filter. I was not sure which filter to use. Regarding the oil temp this is great news to hear that the cooler does its job. In Greece during summer time the temperature is quit high. Do you have any pics of the cooler kit fitted on the car mate?

You don't *need* a smaller filter, that's an option.

Better IMHO is to get an oil filter relocation kit, i.e. an adaptor and some piping which lets you move the oil filter to somewhere different with more room. So you still have the same size oil filter (personally I don't like the sound of having a smaller one), and then when it's relocated you'll have more room to fit in the cooler where you want it.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
