At a guess mate i'd say a sticking brake calliper piston/pistons, which sticks when you brake normally so it pulls to the side, but under heavy braking it has enough pressure to force the piston out so it brakes more even? You'll probably find when you do the pads it'll be fine for a bit, until the pads start to wear then it'll start to happen again? so they might just need a good service?

bandit, when you say its the pistons they are a bit rusty, is there anything i can do to sort out the prob because sometimes when i am not expecting it it can be dangerous and i am always holding the steerig wheel with both hands just in case.

bandit how can one service ones calipers/pistons , if you think that could be the cause it seems to make sense ,mate !
the pads are running a bit low thats the reason why i asked the first question on thi forum, about which pads are ideal for my car.

Here you go mate have a little read of this, it'll explain it a lot better than me about the caliper service,

CLICK ME?

It sounds like the pistons could do with a clean, so that there moving freely within the caliper itself?

The new pads should help, but you'll probably find it'll return after a bit of use when the pads wear down again?
