Ok I'm wanting to buy a few more polishing pads , and wanted to try the waffle type, to try and get out some of the imperfections on the car. has anyone got any recommendations on what type to get, these will be used with my machine polisher.

The new Mequiars solo pads look pretty good mate, Wool or diamond faced? i use the the Sonus sfx3 with mine, always been quite happy with them and the quality :thumbup1:

Well Ian what ever happened to getting a detailer on the forum ???

Moley Well Ian what ever happened to getting a detailer on the forum ???
Would be good as I'm really thinking about having the car detailed once the weather gets better........maybe that guy based in Romford that I remember reading about over the other side would be a good place to start as he's local (well to me anyway) :thumbup:

wool pads are very aggressive and are for really oxidised paintwork - avoid using them as you can cause more damage than the original swirls.
3m, megs, sonus and menzerna pads are your best bet - what pads do you have at the moment and what polisher? and also what polish?
I have the kestral with the 7" megs pads but i find the pads a bit too big. i found the menz polish multi sample pack the best and its easier to work with than megs 80 +83
