as some of you know i had a Sat nav unit and failed to get mine to power up so i got a nother unit from patrik in sweeden and this showed the same problems i have tried evrything on both screens to get it working, so after spending nearly 4 months on and off trying various options i came to the conclusion it would be more cost efeective to fit a after maret screen that would serve many purposes
  • Car-Pc
    Reverse Camera
    Front camera
    HKS Camp2
    DVD Screen

so i decided upon a liliput screen, this was with out its problems i only had a MK1 sat nav (5.25" screen) so i ordered a 7" front plate from Lexus Parts Direct
arrived today.
I thought nothing about it as i figured the lids would be the same as well as all the other parts lid doesnt fit propperly so need to order the 7" screen lid oh well we learn from these things

so anyway on with the fitting
Lilliput screen

7" housing

Screen in the housing

I encountered the problem that the IR reciver is located on the button board this just would not do as i was doing away with the button board so i moved the IR reciver into the factory Nav location

Screen powered up for testing purpose

Unit ready for install sitting in the car

Wires going up and through the dash

OK so now for the unit shown working

i thought i might as well try the PC input as well whilst i was in the car so i put my little sony vaio in the glove box here is the outcome

I have however encountered a small problem some how in the fitting process i have managed to crack the Touch screen pannel

It all still works but there is a hairline crack but this has been replaced now

Hope you like

fitted the brakes, now don’t bite my head of guys but this was the ummmm bake brake pad honestly it went so quick I had no idea there was still about 5mm left on the other side I don’t have pic of the disc as I forgot

Sunday I washed, SRP, Paint renovator, EGP

Finished article

Now the fun begins

I had the following jobs to be done
  • New intercooler
    New intercooler Lights
    Old exhaust off
    New exhaust on
Reposition front camera, de mist, re seal
    Move horns
Here is the new intercooler Lexus key shows the size
[Image: IMAG0031.jpg]
Fitted to the car old intercooler below it to show size
[Image: IMAG0032.jpg]

Finished article

It looks like is fallen slightly on one side will rectify this next weekend when I put some nice shiny Jubilee clips on
Also shown are the repositioned horns
Hidden front camera
[Image: IMAG0037.jpg]
Looks great from inside the car

So now the exhaust what can I say was a pain for the past few weekends so I had a chat with the local kwick fit and they kindly agreed to cut the bolts of and put new bolts on for me at no charge great guys down thee and they loved the car

So anyway new exhaust going on it arrived like this

[Image: img-resized.png] Reduced: 62% of original size [ 1024 x 768 ] - Click to view full image
[Image: 03022009800.jpg]

After a short while with some tender TLC
