Has anyone cleaned their filter? How clean does the cleaning kit actually make it, or would it be easier and better to just buy a new one?

Cheers fella, very useful, however 50k miles is a long time:blink: i think ive bearly done 10k since it was fitted and its as black as :cursing:.......only checked the filter cause it seems to be idling a little low and has actually cut off at the lights?....or could there be another reason for this?
DJ Wozza Clean it mate, I did mine fairly recently, you can buy the kit from Ebay for about £10-£15

DJ Wozza Hmmm about 30,000. Remember to reset the ECU after you re-fit the filter
filter was fitted around 2 years ago!!

24-02-2017, 04:09 AM #7For me, I would clean the K&N every service/oil change. Not a big job, and it should help the car keep running well. It could save you money too, i.e. via your fuel economy : biggrin:

Also when was the last time the spark plugs were changed ?
Plugs were also changed 2 years ago.......right will give the filter a good clean along with the oil/filter change! Cheers lads:wink:

JDM black headlights, rear fog light conversion, JDM size number plates, JDM rear number plate garnish, JDM dash tray, wind deflectors, TRD body kit, white TRD gearknob, TTE lowering springs, TTE ARB's, K&N air filter, stainless steel A/C rings, stainless clock cover, radiator cooling panel, LED side light bulbs, blue reversing bulbs, fan washer jets, clear side repeaters, PIAA silicone wipers, Alpine IDA-X200 headunit, 17 x 8 et40 OZ Ultraleggera with 225/45/17 Toyo Proxes T-1R
