Will the really cheap kits (under £50) on ebay fire as quickly or will they take more time to get fully bright? My old meccatune HIDs took about 3 seconds to warm up, whereas my current kit only takes about a second.

One of my main beam bulbs has blown and I can't seem to find the PIAA bulbs I have anywhere anymore. So thinking what I should do, I know some have HIDs in their main beams, the HIDs4U kit I have in my dipped beams come to full brightness really quick so they'd be fine as main beams but don't really want to spend that much for something I don't use that often.

DJ Wozza Mine was a cheap kit from China (ebay diane shop from what I can remember), seems to work fine for me
So they get to full brightness quite quick then? Maybe I'll just go that route then, thanks Woz

DJ Wozza About the same as dipped, but when you flash main beam people do know I'm letting them out so you should be ok ?

Try swapping the bulbs to see if it's the bulb or the ballast to blame......
Also check connections and fuses.

I saw yours at the ace meet, didnt know how quick they would light up so never got a set, after seeing yours its not a problem and going to get another set for the beams:thumbup1:
