WIM geo in Scotland
WIM geo in Scotland
Hi Folks,
I'm gonna be fitting a set of TTE springs shortly (cheers Stevieweevie:thumbup1 and I'm gonna get the geo done afterwards.
Would like it done to WIM settings but its a bit of a trek all the way down to there place from bonny Scotland.
Has any of the Scottish boys used anybody up this way to get there geo done to WIM settings??
Cheers
Richi
Try and find a place with a 'Hunter' machine mate. My local tyre cente in Ladybank have the right one and will set it to any settings you like -including those recommended by Tony at WIM. Not sure if there is anyone even more local to you - Ladybank will be about an hour and half at most from Airdrie. it is 3/4 hour from Forth bridge.
cheers Kev

As well as having the right machine and the WIM settings, you also need someone who knows what they're doing. It's not simple, i.e. a lot of places will tell you the WIM settings are "impossible" since you can't directly adjust to those values (I think caster is the main one ?). But it is possible to indirectly adjust things to make it work.
If someone has done geo to WIM settings before, then that should be fine because they'll know how to do it.

Sounds like a good plan to take the settings with you in your hand. Then even if they say they've got them, you can double-check they're using the correct ones (i.e. they don't call up the old Lexus OEM ones by mistake).
