iv always said when an if i was to move away from the mazda (owned 5 323 BGs) i would get either an astra or another galant.

well i went for the galant 8)

but not just any old galant, oh no!

It all started long ago (well about june 2008) kitt was off the road yet again due to yet another problem.
me an my BF were talking about getting a new car... an i dug my heels in. but the serch was on!
at first i was looking at honda preludes Smile

nice cars, tho i was after a JDM one, found one, fully modded an looking great!
but it got sold Sad

******! so not to be beat we went looking for another! and found one in london!
so we went to go see, take it for a test drive..... said hold on to it as we will be back, well less then 24 hours later it was sold.... humm i think i can see whats starting to happen here.
well okies i had enough by this time of preludes, an besides me fella has one Big Grin

oh god is it sexy!! :o
but theres a slight draw back to it, yes it has back seats but poor kai (my eldest son) finds it hard to sit in the back as there is no leg room!
hummm okies preluds not the dun thing for a family car.....
carry on looking, was wanting to get a 1.5 BA (mazda 323f, next moddle up from kitt) found a few, via the owners club, was in talks with a guy for well over a week, i said the only time we can make it to you is on a weekend, and its not a case of come an look then think about, its a case of come an buy!
well 24hours befor we are due to set off.... bet you can guess what happens here!
yup the car is sold! £%$@"!
FINE THEN! then we spot a VR4 galant.... :o so sweet! its a saloon in dark green, twin turbo.... in my price range! ;D HAPPY DAYS!!! so we get in touch with the owners sort everything out, the day we are due togo collect we call them to say we are on our way....... SOLD! WTF?!?!? okies now im getting alittle angry :-X
fine, okies then, fook it! start looking at some more galants, cant see one that jumps out, so move on to the shogun's now this is much better! okies the mpg isnt gonna do my any favours but its a big ass monster what do i care?! anyways we find a fair few in the moddle and year we like but each and every one of them was sold!
okies im getting the hint here now, maybe im not ment to have another car! either that or KITT knows sommat is up!
well its knocking on for Aug now an still nothing. and its got to the point were we decided right its either gonna be a shogun or galant, what ever turns up first in our price rang we will get, REGARDLESS!!
nothing for a few days, all is quite on the western front!.........

then one wednesday morning i get a msn from my bf with a link....
i take a look at it an ummed an arrred about it for a while then said ya know what, fook it, lets get it!

something i wuld have never thought of getting in the way of a build of car.
it was an estate ???
a mitsubishi galant estate, okies it wasnt the VR4 but it was the 2.5 V6.
not bad, so i tell my fella, go for it, starting price £200, but one slight draw back!
it was in cornwall..... well my bf gets in touch with the owner an asks all the nessery questions an dose a HPI cheack.
now being from cornwall cars dont always seem to be what they are, so extra caution was taken here.
the car had been white when it started life but was now black... hummm something didnt feel right. but it all checkd out so maybe it was my parionia kicking in.
well with the car all checking out there was a couple of things left to do,
1 - go and see the car an test drive it.
2 - check the engine code matched what we had for it.

well like i said it was in cornwall, a fair few hours drive away, so we decded to visit some family while we was there, an being on ebay we wasnt sure if we would wint he car or not.

well sat arrived (the day the auction ends) an we set off from here around 6am.
got to the guys place fine, did what we needed to do to the car, liked what we saw even with its problems it had, but it was about an hour before the end.
humm bids still at £200... this is looking good!
the guy said we could stay at his till the end as he knew we travled along way, ad he even let us bid on his computer!! :o how very nice ;D

well the end of the aucton came an we was willing and ready to part with £700 for this car as its worth a good £1500/£2000.
needless to say we didnt pay that price for it! 8)

grand totle for it was.......

£310!!!! :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D 8) 8) 8)

YES! £310 for this monster of a car!!!

**** we felt like we had robbed the poor guy!

wel anyways all was good Smile

cash handed over, paper work filled in an off we went, ;D

so you wanna know what goodies this car had to offer....
keeping in mind this one was roughly £26500.00 ish when it was new 10 years ago!

heres a lil listy of the goodies this beast is packing!

2.5 litre V6 24 valve engine
5 speed manual gearbox
variable heated, fully electric adjustable cream leather seats
one touch auto windows all round
cruise control
climate control
heated electric wing mirrors
optional 7 seats (5 as standard)
alloys
rear roof spoiler
roof bars
tinted windows all round
cd multi changer
walnut dash

yes okies it had 150k on the **** but these cars are praticaly buillet proof Smile

an the problem it had was the input shaft bearing was making a noise.
these cars only weakness.

well this has been fixed along with a lot of other work that we have done to this.
this is a car to keep Smile

listy of work thats taken place to date:

all the bearings in the gear box changed
new clutch
crank shaft seal
all belts
new rad
new rad top pipe
belt tensioners
given it a very good service

all that is left to do on the car now is replace all 24 latch adjusters!!
nothing thats engine damaging, but jsut makes the car sound like a dirty diseal!

but the list of mods..... ;D

suttle is the key word here!

replace the front bumper with a facelift one, already got, jsut need to respray it to match the car.
got the grill to match as well.
facelift sideskirts to match, again need to respray them.
got the FOX 17s going on soon, tho im after the face lift standard sports alloys.
nardi steering wheel fitted.
aftermarket gearknob on.
car PC installed with touch screen. tho we got to finish of tidying the surround.
get a VR4 roof spoiler, one is on order as we speak.
change the can for an aftermarket one.
look at getting a VR4 rear bumper.
got jap size plates on it.
lower the nose a touch.
HID the front lights, working on them as we speak.
an get a set of VR4 fog lights as the orignal ones wont fit.
get the car undented an resprayed
K&N air filter inplace Smile

full upgrade on the speaker system.
oh an at some point clean the car!!!!

right i guess its what we call piccy time!

since seeing a leather thread n the owners club its given me an idea.
(contrasting mix)
also what helped back the idea was the fact i have facelift bumpers an skirts in silver.
we got 3 options so far for ideas on the paint style, so some photoshop sessions are in order, im gonna try one more place to see if he can sort my "black" paint out, cos i really love it an the guys that attended the meet will tell you the same, its a ***** of a color!
if not then i need to think about another "black" to go in its place.
also need to wait for a friend of ours who is upgrading there vr4 bonnet for the sports (v6) one, then once thats done we will go pick up her old one up.
need new bonnet as the corsa damage is, well, yeah.... already got the new wing waiting to go on, need to pick up the new bootlid and take delivery of the vr4 spoiler, and i need 3 annoying dents sorted as well.
all costs money which i never seem to have!
im thinking about putting the 17s back on, silver multispoke jobbies.....
failing that i got a set of 16" dark multispoke ones..... hummm photoshop will be my friend!

once all of the above has been done, then the paint will go on
so at the mo this is what my car now looks like,
before and after piccys and the start on the black and cream insides.
okies its only the boot for now, wont be fitting the new dash till i get the carpit.

we got on new skirts and a front bumper, and im turning the car inside to black and cream.
we have made a start on the boot, need to go pick some more bits up tonight of a friend who is scrapping one of these Smile

the screen for the pc has only just been nmade propper to fit,
clear indercatros have gone on, silver body bits have gone one, an the insides have been transformed!
had a bit of fun stripping out friends old galant, and in the process i dropped the sodding rad on to my foot!
it now has a massive balck bruise on it, at first i thought it was broke as i could not move my toes without crying in pain.
tho when i dont it i didnt say anything....
i tryed to drive my car back but right foot clutch changing is not as cracked up as i thought it would be!
so me and garry swapped cars.

bit of a pointless update but what the hell.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I GOT WORKING AIR CON!!!!!!! :lol:

at long ****** last! after garry broke my pipe back in oct time when fitting the new bit of power stearing pipe in place, and after waiting for mitsubishi to get the right pipe in, which they never did in the end! :x
we raped a set of pipes off a friend who was breaking htere old galant, Smile

and then one day garry took it to be filled and now... yipppieeee it works!
god i was so greatfull for it over the weekend!

well iv had the car get its paint sortted, tho to look at it now you would not think so!
iv got all sorts of new toys now.
strut brace is on an working well. JDM headlights waiting to be detangoed and fitted, fog lights to be cleaned and fitted.
not much but its the little bits that make it go a long way
must get the vr4 spoiler sprayed and fitted ASAP as well as that boot lid and back bumper!

iv taken delivery of more parts, including spats, vr4 spoiler, vr4 headlights and fog lights and a strut brace Smile

work started today on sanding, priming and spraying of verious parst such as spats, center dash, wing mirror, yes at long last i have two matching wingmirrors!!! :lol:
iv also found the color of my car, witch im soooooo happy about!
it is a mitsi own color - V01 purple mettalic gray! wooooooooooooop!!!!!

got to spray the rear bumper tomorrow with a bit of luck!
finish off the spoiler, and get that ready to fit!

lost the spare wheel and my 12" sub, in place is a custom box holding X2 8" JBLs, untill i can get my "free air" sub then that will live in the boot again as my old sub did.
