Take the Ride of a Lifetime for Little Havens
An opportunity to ride in a real life supercar does not come often, but Little Havens Children's Hospice is offering just that.

For the fourth year, the charity is hosting the ever-popular Ferrari Day to help raise money for the children and families it cares for.

Taking place in the grounds of Little Havens, Daws Heath Road in Thundersley on Sunday 12th July from 10.30 am until 3.30pm, over 40 Ferraris and their drivers will be offering rides to participants, making a few childhood dreams come true and helping the hospice at the same time.

The event is boosted by the support of local businessman Bruce Cuthbert, Club Scuderia and Essex Ferrari. The owners give their time and fuel for free at this event, directing more funds towards caring the children who use the hospice for respite breaks and end-of-life care.

The day will also feature lots of other attractions, such as quad biking for children, giant Scalextric competition, bouncy castle and a barbecue.

Havens Hospices Event Fundraiser Jason Curtis says, 'This really is a great day out for the whole family with people of all ages enjoying rides in these amazing cars. Last year the event raised £20,000 for Little Havens, helping us to continue caring for life-limited children and their families from across the county.'

Rides last for about 10 minutes and prices are £15 for a child ride, £20 for an adult ride and a whole family (two adults and two children) costs £50.

There are height restrictions; anyone below 135cm will need a booster seat. Parents and carers can provide their own but there will some available on the day.

To avoid disappointment, please book rides in advance by calling Jason on 01702 220356, email [email protected] or click on Get Involved.
