Anyone watching it ?

What do you think so far ? What did you think of Contador's break yesterday ?

I don't watch any other cycling, but the Tour de France really is a pretty amazing spectacle. They do about 100 miles a day, every day, for 3 weeks ! It looks kinda complicated at first when you start watching, what with the overall timed competitions, and then various added points competitions like the sprinting, and the King of the Mountain etc. But it's not that complicated really.

Also lots of great scenery to watch as they go through the countryside of France and the surrounding countries.

Lance Amstrong is making his big comeback, but in yesterday's stage he was totally blown away by his team-mate Contador.

The Brits are also doing well, although sadly they're not getting a lot of press. Mark Cavendish has already won more stages in a shorter space of time than any other Tour de France rider, *ever*. And Bradley Wiggins has made an excellent transition from a track cyclist (e.g. in the Olympics) to the Tour de France (he beat Lance Amstrong yesterday up a big mountain stage !).

yeah, i've been watching it every day. It is one of my ambitions to ride a stage one day (an easy one) even if it takes me 2 or 3 daysSmile . The Contador break was great. he's got to be the favourite now to win it.

Wooh, another fan !

Yep Contador must be the clear favourite now, surely ?

What about Cavendish's penalty the other day. Seemed a bit harsh. The way the barriers came out slightly at that point seemed to make it a slight corner, effectively, so taking away his chances of the green jersey seems a bit OTT.

I wouldn't mind just driving some of those stages, never mind cycling it !

i can see Contador winning today and tomorrow in the Alps and then it should be game over. The Cavendish decision did seem harsh. Looks like the judges have got it in for him. Should be exciting stuff now up till the finish Smile

It's all setting up for an exciting finish. Surely Contador will keep the yellow jersey, but who's going to be on the podium with him.

Come on Wiggo !

Hopefully Wiggo will do the business today and tomorrow and get a podium finish. I don't think Contador can even throw it away now, unless he crashes big style and breaks something. Its defo getting exciting though

The boy Wiggins done well !

Now all we need is a Cav stage win on the Champs Elysees to put the icing on the cake of a totally amazing Brit performance in this year's Tour !
