O2 can shove it....or can they?
O2 can shove it....or can they?
When i took my iphone out on contract i took it on the £35 a month tarriff, which included a bolt on of unlimited texts for free.
I also asked is the £35 is the total amount i would pay, and the clerk told me yes.
looking at my bill it states
My tariffs - O2 35 on iPhone 24 Month : 18 Jun 10 - 17 Jul 10 £29.79
My monthly extras £6.38
which totals £36.17, so basic bill is £1.17 higher than the contract i signed.
then they are adding on VAT, taking the bill up higher.
Have i been mis-sold my contract? im rahter peeved that ive only just noticed, im forever downloading stuff so put it down to that, but the new way O2 break down the bill makes it very clear.
rant over
Wow so your contract is 24 months at £42.50 per month? Do you get a serious amount of minutes for that much money?
But yeah if you were supposed to be paying £35+VAT and they're charging you £36.17+VAT you at least need an explanation as to why you're being charged more - haven't been on O2 for years but remember when I was there were a few times I got charged some funny amounts that got refunded later. No harm in giving them a ring and finding out what's going on.
erm,...yup, although i was under the impression it was £35 all in.
I get
600 anytime, any network minutes
unlimited texts and MMS (MMS is only unlimited until October as tarriff is changing)
unlimited wifi, 3g, edge
plus the phone was free when i got it.
contract runs out in April, still need to go and try the samsung galaxy S as it seems to be the only true iphone rival at present, but failing that i'll go for an iphone 4 on free upgrade
im on the £35 a month iphone tarrif and it is £35, so are you being charged for the bolt on which you were told was free?.......did you get the contract direct with o2 or through cpw/mobiles.co.uk etc??
According to the O2 site, even on the iPhone 4 that 600mins tariff is £35/month on a 24 month contract - sounds like they are charging you a lot more than you should be paying so I'd definitely give them a call and see what's going on.
You should either be getting more minutes or paying less imho......
Wait for the Galaxy S to be upgraded to Froyo in September, at the moment the Samsung build is quite buggy, it was only after I installed a custom ROM on mine that it is running perfectly.
SHAHZ im on the £35 a month iphone tarrif and it is £35, so are you being charged for the bolt on which you were told was free?.......did you get the contract direct with o2 or through cpw/mobiles.co.uk etc??

sounds mis sold to me, consumer tariffs when advertised include VAT anyway, but on your bill they will be broken down excluding VAT and it is shown towards the end, but a £35 advertised tariff is £35 including VAT, unless you are a business customer, then its plus VAT and generally they are advertised seperately anyway, just kick off with them, they will back down, they can afford to
Nice work! Are they refunding whatever you've been overcharged to date as well?
