I think it's hilarious that Steve Jobs has felt the need to attack these (so obviously feels threatened by them). Typical Apple response, they don't make them so therefore no-one must want them

Anyone considering one of these, e.g. the Samsung Galaxy tab ? I'm not myself, but just curious what everyone else thought.

I guess you can go either way with it, in some ways it could be seen as too small, in other ways it could be seen as the right size - just enough bigger than a phone to make it easy to use but still small enough to make it far more portable.

In any case I'd like a larger win7 tablet - I want one that is basically a proper laptop but in tablet form, small and easily portable yet as full functionality. Otherwise I can generally get by with my phone, don't really need it to be any bigger.

Looking at the new macbook air, if they had combined that with the iPad to give it a proper multitouch screen that could possibly have been the perfect laptop - but Apple wouldn't give us that would they! :tongue_smilie:

Was going to hold out for an android tablet but gave in and bought an iPad a couple of days ago, now I was at the head of the line saying I couldn't see the point in them but now, ****** great piece of kit.

If samsung had just priced the tab lower rather than at iPad level, they would have been laughing all the way to the bank but i reckon they have shot themselves in the foot.

I wouldn't buy one, but everytime I see someone playing with an iPad I do want it, it looks really cool.

Totally agree, Samsung have got the pricing of the Tab completely wrong, and the Blackberry one looks way overpriced too.

Either way I'm holding out for a win7 one so hopefully it comes soon

Still as pointless as an iPod touch? Which is useless compared to my iPhone 4, probably because the iPhoe 4 (not snobbily) has more features and i would find it more interesting if I hadn't got this.

No, I bought one, don't feel the need to try and justify it as for me it's relegated my laptop and sitting watching top gear in the bath tonight is earned it's place in my top five gadgets.
