You can always ask somebody for permission. But the things are 1) How would you get there 2) I don't think its a matter of the club not wanting you, it's that the venue may not accept under 18's or something? Probably because if everybody is drinking they will always have to keep an eye to check on you to make sure your not drinking on the premises :/

It sucks though, you'de think they would change it if your paying for a private event upfront. O well, I suppose they don't want to loose any kind of licence they have in these times :/
