Now iv got 3 mates wanting me to do theirs tonight, hope they bring the beers with them to help turn the night into a lads night in, tanning the ps3....

Well last night i downgraded my first PS3 for 3.50v firmware to 3.41v firmware so i can now play :lol::lol: backed up games from an external HHD :lol::lol:
Now iv got 3 mates wanting me to do theirs tonight, hope they bring the beers with them to help turn the night into a lads night in, tanning the ps3....

Parthiban, it allows you to play backed up games from an external HDD or Pendrive (install the game onto console via the device i beleivE). Its classed as "Jailbreaking" the ps3 I think.
However, if you go online I think your account gets banned (but you can just make a new one).... but I didnt think you could get online without the latest update :/

Last time I heard it was impossible to downgrade the firmware..... theres something new, think ill look into it.

It's something that's just happend oer the past 5-6 weeks (jailbreaking ps3's), you have a usb dongle that always you to play backed up / downloaded games from internal / external HHD's.
That same dongle allows you to down grade the ps3 to run 3.41v firmware, which is the only firmware the dongle works on.
