PS3 or Xbox 360?

moke:Now it's my turn to decide but I need some help. I got the impression that at least some of you are very much into video games.
I've always liked the RTS, RPG and FPS genres but those games should be played on a computer. However, I'm also a fan of racing games and that's what I want a console for.
When it comes to racing games and consoles you are either a GT fan or a Forza fan. I've played GT3 and GT4 quite a lot and there are a few things I don't like about them. The main thing is the sound effects. Every single car sounds pretty much the same and that really spoils the experience. I haven't yet played GT5 or Forza 3 but I've seen a lot of video reviews and I think Forza is the game for me.
To play Forza I need an Xbox 360 but as far as I know the silly Microsoft *******s won't let you use your Logitech G25 or G27 which really ****** me off. Are there any similar steering wheels for the Xbox? Does Forza support a clutch and a gear stick? Does GT5 kick Forza's ass?
I will probably only use the console to play racing games. Which one do you think I should get?

I have owned both xbox360 and ps3 at the same time, and the ps3 never got used. And ended up selling it. Personally I think the PS3 is the better machine, but simply isn't utilized by Sony's programers. And the games that I prefer like Halo and Gears of war, that you can't get on PS3, mean an Xbox 360 is my choice.
Although I have considered getting a PS3 again for GT5.
I'd stick with the xbox mate, much better to use as media centre too.
If you are only using the console for a single genre, there is not much point spending a lot of cash on it.

07-11-2017, 09:31 AM #3i think if you want the best then the ps3 is good for the money. not only the games but blueray player and network server so streaming from pc to ps3. i know that the xbox can do the same but the last xbox i had i used it as a door stop.maybe that was me and not the games machine but i find out of all the machines at home. wii ps1-2-3 and and xbox the xbox got sold and the wii is used more by the family but only just. ps3 gets the family singing as does the wii
My mate has the ps3 and wished he never sold his xbox to buy it the only game that's good on the ps3 is gt5. Other than that the xbox is better as a media center aswell as a games console and dvd player.
But its up to you mate I've had both and all 3 versions of the xbox and vote it as the best

I would always vote xbox by far the better system as said sony don't make the most out of there's and with the amount of tech going into the xbox it wipes the floor with the ps3.

GT5 is better than forza. You can use your G25 with it (like I do), however, there isn't an actual G25 choice, you have to choose a different wheel and just configure the buttons.
I think you can also use clutch

Xbox has better online features such as party chat etc. It also has Kinect which is being updated so that it can also handle finger and hand movements, not just overall body movements.
