central locking fault
hi went out to my mk1 gs300 sport to day unlocked it and it locked itself so unlocked it again started car up to run it as it has not been run for a few days switched car off locked it and only drivers door locked unlocked and you hear solenoid work but when locking it you cannot hear it. do i need to get a new R/H front door central locking solenoid as at the moment cannot lock other doors.

19-11-2017, 06:54 AM #2have tried several things ie locked doors manualy few times clean out door barrel with wd40 unlocks all doors ok still wont lock doors on central locking and starts to run down battery as if a battery drain any help would be most greatfull.

you could try crashing the system by disconnecting the battery for say 10min re apply see if it will allow it to lock.
have you checked all door switches bonnet boot in case one is faulty...
this sounds like its got a short or maybe a sensor telling the car not to lock...

Probably a daft question Kev, but does the interior light go out when all the doors are closed? or even the boot light? does sound like you have a dodgy door/boot switch?

hi bandit.
interior light not switched on ive had it inthe off position all year.when you look in car now no lights on at all. just cannot lock car with the central locking.
really getting worried.

If it does stay lit it'll probably be one of your door switches sticking or not working?

Kev put the light onto door setting mate, and see if it stays on with all the doors shut?

just tried what you told me and the interior light goes out.still have the problem only now overnight battery goes just about flat really getting upset about this problem had a word with a couple of friends but told me car to complicated for them to look at it for me cannot afford to take it a garage as i no longer work so it looks like no shows etc for me till i can find someone to help.thanks for your input.

Rabster i could possibly have a look i cant guarantee to find the problem but im happy to give it a go...
hi any help would be most greatfull. only problem cannot use car tried to go out today car felt drain of energy so dear not use it dont want to get stranded anywhere.
