24-11-2017, 02:05 AM #2had one as a courtesy car whilst mine was getting repaired, had the works completely kitted out. Must say it was a really good car, pretty nippy, ride was very flat and comfortable but I never enjoyed being in it :\

Mods:...WIM geometry setup & fine tune, K&N Air filter, Stainless steel A/C rings, Brodit phone kit, Stainless steel clock surround, B&M Shortshifter & LED Domelight, Maplight & Sun Visors, OEM Chrome exhaust tip, OEM rubber bootliner, Fan type windscreen washer jets, LS430 Side repeaters, OEM LE grille, OEM cargo net, Front OEM armrest
I'm looking to change to diesel this year, I'm considering either the BMW 330d or if the budget allows a 335d, anyone got any hints on what to look out for on either cars?

N2KHL I'd look at BMW but I really wanna go back to front wheel drive after this winter that we have had. My car was useless for a week or so stuck in my carpark at home !
Just put winter Tyres on and then enjoy on the snow also.

I was looking at the 150bhp but found out they go through front tyres all the time and it was common for the cam shafts to snap so i got told to go for the 130bhp.
They done kits which raised the boost and some people were getting 170bhp out of them lol
The only thing that stopped me getting one was the cost of the golfs, I was looking at £3500 £4000 for one that i wanted with high mileage or £2000 £3000 for a Peugeot 307 fully loaded with alot less miles then the golfs. I have had loads of Pugs in the past and never had any major probs with them so i stayed with Peugeot in the end
Very nice cars though lol

I was looking to get a Mk4 TDI, i think there great cars for a diesel and they go really well. A friend of mine had a 130bhp and it used to leave my 307 diesel for dead all the time lol

Marsdendean Dont go for a 307 as they are riddled with electronic problems!!
I have heard that too but have had no problems with mine, Main things is to look out for is DPF, Clutch and flasher stalk if you have coms as there £320 lol
I have l;ots of contacts with Peugeot so parts and diagnostics are not a problem with me, thats why i keep to Peugeot

mrs used to have a mk3 and the mother inlaws got a mk5 generally very solid cars and would defo reccomend them, but as said above can be more costly then other rivals!
