hi all,

living in a country with real snow seasons has its downside as i own a lexus IS200, rear wheel drive even with excellent winter tyres can be a pain at times so im looking for a change.

i thought about a wagon - insurance is about the same as the IS so no real change.

whats the useable space in the boot? it loks a bit small TBH?

anyone driven the NA versions.. things to watch on the wrx versions? how does the cloth interior last?

i am looking at the 2004 onwards facelift models BTW

I can only comment on the Legacy wagon, and they are great load carriers and in snow will grip and hold the road very well because of the asymmetrical 4WD system.

The Impreza uses the same chassis and 4wd system as the Legacy so it should be as good, especially with proper tyres.

It is worth getting the turbo, the n/a's are under powered - like an IS200.

cheers for that.... i have seen a newer 2.5l and 2.0 but the 2.0 is in the nice blue and not soooooo much KM more than the 2.5.

what about the cloth interior - does it last or is it prone to wear.

TBH the only thing stopping me from buying ne is the lexus , because its RHD i cant really sell it over here so might mean a trip back to the UK and re register it - total PITA!!
