simple put they have no regs and laws agaisnt it and couldnt prove it if they tried.
they have no pwoer to look under your bonnet at the roadside so have to send you for an evaluation in which time you have changed back to to standard headlamps??

Some of the comments are fair, but it does sound like the majority of them are t***s - the only guy who comes off as reasonable and intelligent is the one called blueb.......hopefully never have to deal with any of the others!
The main problem isn't HID, its those that fit HIDs and then don't get their headlights aligned. And if a car passed it's MOT with those lights, I can't see this holding up in court.
In my opinion I don't even get the fuss about fog lights, I don't use mine but have never been bothered by anyone using them as they don't point upwards, a bigger problem is 4x4s with xenons straight through the rear screen!
toxo lol! If anything's clear from that thread it's that there is a law against it! They've also correctly identified that cars are getting SVA'd and MOT'd that shouldn't be.
If traffic police were catching murderes they wouldn't be doing their jobs.

I was just going to say same thing, everyones headlights are at supra mirror height too
