Many reports it doesnt benefit extreme groups such as BNP, but some does.

Anybody decided yet?

Not even thought about it - might have to go look up a definition or two to find out what it means...

Or I can wait and let Parthiban explain it, he'll probably know what it's all about Smile

I understand it, but at the end of it, who will it benefit, would it benefit the BNP.

One argument is the cost, but I dont care about the cost of changing it..

One thing is for sure if politicians want it its for their benefit NOT ours.
I will be voting though because if you have the right to vote you must do so.

The other thing to note is can the average chav work out how to fill n the AV voting form, it does mean using numbers instead of a "X"

So you're saying this might mean that chavs end up getting their votes ignored, leaving we more intelligent types to decide who runs the country? I see an advantage...

It will probably mean special classes for chavs to learn how to fill in forms, at an exorbitant price to the tax payer.

Makes no difference, its not a true democracy anyway

every few years we all vote for which ever dictatorship looks best then let a handfull of morons run us further into the ground.

I dont vote for that reason, i dont believe in any of the parties values, or what they stand for

Until we have a say in the running of the country, i.e. a voting website were things such as the budget, immigration, laws can be put out for a public vote, then it is not a true democracy

naturally it would have to be a simple website, with clearly defined options so we could not choose stupidly or greedily,

but none-theless its a dictatorship until then

I don't support politics in any way and I agree to an extent UK politics is for most of us a lesser of several evils but that's a misplaced comment in times where we are more aware than ever of the reality for people living under true dictatorships, or dying!

Erm... by definition a dictatorship is where you don't have ANY choice in who runs the place - that you're choosing not to vote doesn't make it a dictatorship. And voting kinda IS YOUR WAY TO HAVE A SAY you know...

Your suggestion for everyone voting on things made me think of the book Blind Faith by Ben Elton - in which laws are decided at Wembley stadium, based on the votes of the public attending the event...

If you don't bother to vote, then in my opinion you don't get to complain about the system in place. You squandered what opportunity you had to make a change to it when you didn't bother.

It's not the best system I grant you, but it's the best choice available...
