hi tony,

just wondering if you have ever come across my current situation before???

I replaced the front lower ball joints few days ago and took the car for a geo adjustment... it was a total nightmare! They couldnt adjust the camber on ANY corner!

I know the rears have an issue with the adjuster riding up over the adjustment lip but I have never had this with the front before.
The max amount of adjustment i could get was half a degree on both front corners and thats it!

I had a look if the guy was turning the correct adjuster and he was, he didnt appear too confident but its obvious there is an issue.

For the rear it looks like i will need to get newlower suspension arms :bored: but i am loathed to start replacing front items unless I am 100% sure thats the issue.

any tips or hints?

i will try scan and attach the geo sheet tomorrow but i have a funny somehow you will not be impressed!

yep been flying for a while plus lots of things going on in different areas and not a lot of free time TBH.. it all adds up!

the bigest issue i can see is the rear left, the caster is out but not a lot can be done there i guess.

TBH i have nearly given up finding somewhere that really knows what they are doing as it appears no one does!

for the rear the easist is to replace the rear arms as thats a fairly simple job....

The front however is a bigger issue  its either the bushings in the number 1 lower arm or the adjuster lip on the suspension member has gone Confusedcared: There was a small bit of movement in the bush but i suspect its the lip because when turning the adjuster nothing really happens.

i did find some adjustable bushes from fensport.. maybe thats an option...

answers on a postcard please!!

Tony,

Im going to be in UK around end August, thinking of bringing the car over... how much notice would you need for a geo booking and 4 new tyres?

I haven't looked at the adjusters on mine that hard, But if the problem's the cams on the adjuster bolts riding over the crescent bits of the adjuster on the arms, Rather than replacing the arms, couldn't they just be wire brushed and a couple of blobs of weld put on top of the crescent bit's to build them up a little and stop this happening?

I'm hoping that what I've wrote there makes some kind of sense. I just finished 14 hour work day and my heads a bit fuzzy.
