This is going to sound weird, but I want to get a new shed but don't really know where to get it from?

Reason being that I don't want to build it myself, and most things I find on the net are just delivery.........is that the only way to get one? Buy it, and then try and find someone to install it for me?

Or are there companies I can call who will do a full service? Don't mind if it costs a little more, just can't be bothered with any hassle Smile

Most company's will come out and deliver and put it together for you mate, my brother owns his own shed company and they sell loads and they deliver and build for the customer, they even do the base for them to stand if you havn't got one allready?

Best thing to do is have a search for local shed/garden buildings company's in your area and most of the smaller ones will deliver and fit for you Smile

Oh cool, so they do exist! Will just have to look a bit harder then......yep I will need a base - what exactly is required for a base? Do you need to have a concrete slab poured? Or can you just lay paving stones down? Or are neither required?

I assume your brother's company doesn't cover London? Smile

lay paving slabs, but make sure it is level.

Use Sharp sand as packing under the slabs and use a sedge hammer (or something like it) to TAP the slabs down please don't hit them or they will shatter. If you have a 1 to 2" layer of sand that should be enough.

Lay an area slightly bigger than you need for the shed to be on the safe side.

I'm not sure where Glossop is but I'm guessing it's too far away! Going to try some local companies, hopefully one will oblige.

That's good to know 2tongues, at least I'll know whether they're doing the right job or not Smile
