Yea right, why do companies always say the same old rubbish, why can't they just put their hands up and invest time and money to rectify the problem instead of saying the same old b0ll0cks,
Citroen said there had been no reports of the problem before the Watchdog programme!!!!!!

Presuming they do actually talk to each other, I wonder which member(s) of Citroen management made the decision to save a fraction of a Euro by not following Peugeot? Hope he/they are now looking for other employment, but hopefully not in the aircraft industry.

It seems that as soon as a company grows big enough to have its own legal department all good ethics go out the window. Never say sorry (unless the government forces you to), never admit there's a problem (unless forced by court order), never believe the customer....etc

That's opening themselves up for a world of hurt if it's an issue that was obviously discovered...........but hang on, they have a wire in the passenger footwell that if you step on it activates the brakes?

That's so comical it's actually hard to believe!
Not a wire as such. My understanding is that because the car is built LHD, the brake servo and master cylinder are on (what in this country would be) the passenger side, instead of just at the top of the brake pedal where they would normally be. So instead the brake pedal operates a cable on the RHS which is then attached to the master cylinder on the LHS. So you can apply pressure to this cable with your foot from the passenger footwell.
