hey all.

after extensive research, I have found out that Corsa B speaker brackets will fit the Is200.

What I want to know is, where I can get off-the-shelf MDF adaptors as I do not have the time, space or proper tools to make my own.

also, with the rears, I will be fitting JBL 6 x 9's, with the frequency adjusted to 100hz. In your experience, will 12mm speaker rings be enough, or should I use 18mm. I only want to take it apart once, again due to my very little free time.

Cheers/

I had the VIBE SEK69's in the back of mine mate which are pretty deep, and i only used 12mm mdf for the mounts, and they were fine with clearance of the boot springs :thumbup1: i made my own though and not seen any available for the is200/300's off the shelf? Huh

There are loads of mdf mounts on Us eBay.

As for the fronts, thats how I fitted the speakers on my Gen 7 Celica, but was hoping to do a better job on the Lex. Sad

FunkMasterJay after extensive research, I have found out that Corsa B speaker brackets will fit the Is200.

That they do, the same as Subaru ones too. I think I have some somewhere, but don't sure where!

I got some MDF front ones from US ebay (many years ago) and should have them somewhere too!

I'll let ya know if I find them, as I am about to dig out all my IS200 gear when I buy another one.

Right, I set about installing the components today.

All installed, but for some strange reason the signal can't get past my MB Quart crossover to the woofer or tweeters, and if connected directly to test, they don't work unless the OEM tweeters are in place.

Eventually I don't know what happened but one brand new woofer stopped working. I give up.

I will just run a new set of wires throughout the car.

Will post pics later as my Blackberry is also on the blink.

A waste of a day off. Sad
