Need to send a couple of letters to the US tomorrow, but don't think I'll get time to go to the post office. The stamp I need is 76p.
Will it work if I use a 1st class large letter stamp (75p) and a 1p or are those 1st class stamps only supposed to be used in the UK regardless of their value?

Funny thing is I just asked the Post Office here in Scottsdale the same question, and they said the 95cent stamp (1st class) is ample to get a standard letter to the UK in a week.

ad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Generally gets to the US quicker than that though, from my experience it seems to be about 3 working days when using normal Airmail.

Cool thanks all for the replies - ended up getting someone else to go to the post office but will remember that for next time!
