I have been after some bonnet/hood struts/lifters for a while. As many members have fitted.

I have not found them to be that easy to come by. FIGS makes a kit, but it's expensive, and I'm not certain on the availability. I have found these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/01-05-Lexus-IS...372wt_1139

and in carbon:

I just wanted to ask if anyone knew of any others available, from the UK maybe, as the sooner the better for me.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I got the 1's of ebay and sent them back was not happy with them at all

I ended up getting Figs engineering 1's, took about 20mins to fit with no problems at all

Well your the only one LOL! I got the figs and they fouled the ABS block, having to make me turn the fittings around and adding spacers to one side, also the drivers wheel-well fitting twisted every time the bonnet was opened and closed as there's a gap where the tab goes down to "stop the twisting!" so i had to add a block spacer to that as well!

Don't get me wrong the work just fine, but i think if i was selling/making these as a business i'd be expecting shed loads back!
I think they need to fit a set to an IS200 in their work shop and just see who they could be made better, trust me they COULD be made to fit much better!!!

I got the latest G3 kit which I know had tweeks done to it over the early kit and understand what your saying about the abs unit as the kit I have just slips past the corner of the abs unit on the way down but you could turn the rod round which would give you loads of clearance if you need it.

I'm using a larger washer and a bolt rather than using the allen head screw which was supplied for the drivers side fixing and have had no issues of it twisting as of yet.

It's with only feed back that manufactures can improve there items. I would imagen that most of there business is for for lhd cars, so items may not fit aswell for rhd. I think for £76 you are getting a good deal on the figs lifters, shame you get a bit of import on top. I looked at the figs lifters and I couldn't make them for that price they do.

Even the ebay lifters are fitted to a lhd model in the picture and the abs unit does seem to be on the other side in the way of the other gas strut.

I brought some off ebay and I felt that by fitting them and trying to close the bonnet on my car I would do more damage than it was worth.
The fixing method for the bottom brackets was just just shocking and pushed on the wing to stop the bracket twisting.

So to conclude... The Figs ones are the ones to go for, but even they are not ideal!

I got mike's from RS Imports (or RS Tuning, can't quite remember) they're carbon ones and had to have the brackets angle grinded but other than that they're fine
