OK so I bought a NOS kit with all the purge bits the other day. I'm not sure if I'm actually going to plumb the NOS into the car or just use it for 'show' (if I ever make it to one :p).

Question is, where should I have it it purging from...

-Wheel arches
-Louvres beside the fog lights
-Intercooler
-Headlight washers
-Windscreen washers
-Other?

If I do decide to use it as an actual performance adder for the car, I may just spray a 25hp dry shot into the supercharger intake or something? Probably won't make much of a difference, but at least it can be for more than just 'show' then?

well the NOS purge needs to be put where it looks the best. Watch Fast and the Furious 1-5 if you want some inspiration!!

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

Well if you have it coming out of the wheel arches people will tell you your brakes are on fire Wink I like the foglight idea. The intercooler idea has practical cooling benefits does it not? Headlight washers would look good because the lights will illuminate the cloud, and the washer jets / scuttle panel is a place I've seen it installed a lot before.

Yeah the intercooler ideas is the most functional of them all I guess, although I'm not sure what kind of cooling a NOS squirt would have on the intercooler while driving at 80mph?

Foglights might be the easiest method. Also might be able to get away with some bluish fog bulbs in order to get a better smoke effect?

Hmm Smile

Firstly if you're only going to use it for purging I wouldn't use actual N2O as its very expensive and a lot more flammable than is required for the purpose :p CO2 would be much more practical I think, in which case I'd suggest spraying it onto the intercooler like on Stav's setup.

But I personally would do it from the wheel arches Fast & Furious styleeeee, that way you don't run the risk of it collecting under the bonnet and combusting (if you did do it with N20)

I've been considering the possibility of running a 50 shot of nitrous as an alternative to a supercharger myself.

I guess I best decide if I'm going to put it to some real use then :p

Originally I was thinking of just nos'ing the is300. WON kit with a progressive controller comes out at under £2k fitted. Very tempting :p

In it's own n2o is non flammable.
If your going for purge I'd personally use co2

I stand corrected..."At room temperature, it is a colorless non-flammable gas, with a slightly sweet odor and taste"

I assumed that due to its application it would be incredibly flammable, silly me for thinking that something which aids the burning of fuel would be flammable...
