Hey everyone,

I'm seriously considering buying a Lexus IS200 next month and I just wanted to sign up and say hi as well as hopefully get some more info on these cars.

I will be looking to modify them and was wondering what kind of costs I would be looking at to go FI with them. I've scoured around and it seems Supercharging seems to be the order of the day, with the TTS SC (iirc) being the popular choice at around £2k just for the kit?

Also, I couldn't find a picture thread (I'm useless with the search function) of all the members lovely cars- I would love to see what you guys have done to your rides. I'm looking into more OEM+ style of modding- less is more as they say but with wide wheels etc. Any recommendations or pics of your favourite rides?

The IS200's seem to be going for quite cheap at the moment (albeit slightly high mileage)- anything I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks a bunch guys. Any help is much appreciated. Smile

They are cheap cars now, which is great! Just bought my second one recently - for less than a 5th the cost of my first one!

The charger kit is made by TTE (Toyota Team Europe) and I can highly recommend it, as will others. However, they are £2k-2.5k and that is if you can even find one. They are very rare, and when they come up for sale, sell almost instantly!

The IS200 is a great car, and you will not find a more knowledgeable place for them than this forum! Welcome to the club.

If you want pics of members cars, try the Project thread section, here: http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/for....php?f=377 (All models in there, and a few VERY tasty IS200s.

Thank you for the kind welcome Smile

TTE, sorry my bad. What kind of gains can you expect from SC'ing? Am I correct in assuming that the IS is 200bhp standard?

As Dimis said, 155 stock, 205 charged. However, other mods can increase that a bit too, and 220 is achievable without too much hassle or cost. You can go higher, 250+ with the charger, by it can get pricey with other mods needed to keep it running safely.

If you want to see some pics, check the Projects thread section here: http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/for....php?f=377 There are all models there, but many IS200s, with Sparkystav, Ormi and Rabster having some of the nicest ones (Rabs now sold, but thread should be there!)

There are a couple. Stav is running near 400bhp from a single turbo 1G GTE, and Sam B has just finished a 1JZ GTE conversion. But if you have this in mind then you had better have one hell of a budget and/or be a mechanical and electrical genius! Stav's car is amazing, but owes him over £20k, I am sure.

Wow. I don't the cash or the mechanical know-how! I'll stick to a simple SC then.

How is there not a picture thread on here?! Surely there has to be one- everyone loves a chance to show off their rides! I haven't really seen anyone go wide or VIP (jap style) on the Lexus' here.
