Well I'm just waiting on getting a price for one of these .....

http://www.rbscotland.co.uk/gallery.html#

The size is going to be 18 meters long by 9 or 10 meters in width and 4.5 meters high to the top of the vertical posts before the roof starts . I think if I remember correctly what was said at the time of the survey the roof will have a 15 degree pitch .The walls will be blocked up to about 4 feet then just the steel cladding the rest of the way up.

I'm going to loft two thirds of the roof space for a games room come time and leave one third at the end to enable me to get a car ramp .

Just need to decide on what colour to make it and what kind of ramp to get .
Not sure on a four or a two post ramp / lifter . So what would yous suggest ?

Lexus IS200 Mods--TTE Supercharger, Tein Superstreet Coilovers & EDFC, 6000K HID Lights, HKS Silent High Power Exhaust, DBA Front Discs, Kenwood DNX9240 Head Unit, 19" Rims, TRD Kit, FIGS Bonnet Struts, Greddy Pillar Pod & Defi Gauges, TTE Red ARBS . And Been To WIM twice

You can take all the wheels off on a 2 post, they just normally don't take as much weight.

The 2 post at the garage next door to my work can take 3.5 tonnes which is more than enough for an IS, and even your X5 (I think that's that's what you have?) will easily go on it.

Dark Samurai 4 post mate in case you ever wanna take wheels off etc?

A 4 post is a drive on one mate. No good for taking wheels off unless you get the additional centre jacks.

Get a 2 post mate. All you need and doesn't take as much space.

The other car is an X3 , so you were close

Its just needing to know what the pros and cons are of the two ramps and then deciding on which to go for . I'm not saying I'll go for ramps right away but I want to get everything in place for it at the build stage

Lexus IS200 Mods--TTE Supercharger, Tein Superstreet Coilovers & EDFC, 6000K HID Lights, HKS Silent High Power Exhaust, DBA Front Discs, Kenwood DNX9240 Head Unit, 19" Rims, TRD Kit, FIGS Bonnet Struts, Greddy Pillar Pod & Defi Gauges, TTE Red ARBS . And Been To WIM twice

haha, near enough. (is there even an X5? lol)

Well the pros are that a 4 post one is normally just a case of drive on and lift up. It lifts the car by the wheels.

Whereas a 2 post uses arms that swing out under the car to line up with strong points on the chassis, so you can lift the car up AND take all the wheels off etc.

Benefits of 4 post are it's quicker to lift the car up because you don't need to line up the arms.

Benefits of a 2 post are you can take the wheels off and it takes up less space when theres no car on it.
