Fractured toe, and lost my job :(
Fractured toe, and lost my job :(
Yesterday afternoon I caught my little toe on the door frame, it went sideways and heard a crack..ive got to go back to hospital on monday as it's a spiral fracture, basically the bone has sheared and twisted, so it needs moving back over and down to where it should be.my boss was an a**hole about me needing monday off, so im now back to being unemployed.which is good because i need time to work to getting my carpentry nvq level 2.previously i was a self employed landscape gardener, so i'm going back to doing that to keep myself going untill I'm qualified so if anyone wants any quality fencing, decking, turfing or garden clearance get in touch!*references available/portfolio*:whistling: (within a reasonable distance from Luton)
Ouch!
Shame your so far away, the guy who's doing the grilfriends fathers house has just text me to say hes on another job till Thursday at the earliest, leaving the job half done!!
I mean, who starts a job only to start another half way through!
Chaff's my ass it does............
ahh that's annoying. i admit i've had to start a job a day or 2 late, due to another job running over, but never do more than 1 job at a time.i've always tried to be very customer-focused, and have had bucket loads of work because of it..there are a lot of people out there who just dont seem to want the work, or if they do get it, they balls it up.
That's really bad luck, hope the toe is ok! Did you get fired though for asking for a day off to go to hospital with a broken toe??
nope, it was on a 1 month probabation, on a self-employed basis, so no notice required, and no frills.lol..to be honest i needed this in a way, as the nvq is purely work-based, so need to find work with carpenters! my dad works at barnfield tech college, so luckily i have the contacts, and a lot of the modules i will be able to complete in the college so i'm not too down about it.
