Hi all,

I got to a point when I need to sell my IS200. I still love it and everything but if I wait a bit more I will sell it for peanuts..so I'd rather sell it while is still in a good condition.
I am looking at getting a manual, rear wheel drive or AWD, cheap (er)..than my IS200 on fuel if possible, with more power. The cars I have been considering are:

BMW 320i, 320d, 323I - 2006 onwards
Audi A4 - 1.8 or 2.0l Quattro - 2006 Onwards - B7 shape onwards
Lexus IS250 - Sport version

NOw I have few pros' and cons for each of them but I would like to hear your oppinion. I would love to get the rear wheel drive as opposed the AWD as they are more fun (on the wet Smile)) but I dont mind the look of them.

What do you guys think? Any issues with them? Is anyone here owining any of them? I'd like to hear an objective oppinion (hard to do it on a Lexus forum aye?).

Cheers

Luckily this isn't a Lexus forum - so you will probably get some good subjective feedback. Smile

However, this is a Jap car forum, and of the choices you have listed, there is only one real choice (and it's what I would have picked anyway as I prefer the look of them!)

All good cars, but I prefer the look of the Lexus, to save on fuel then its the 320d, see if you can get a 330d - better all round car.

330D would be my recommendation for best all rounder of the lot.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Oh ok...I dont look at it this way however I am wonderign if you say the same thing if I was gonna say that I am getting a Bugatti Veyron or a Porsche GT3 or something like that.

I am not really looking at a german car maker as such, but in the saloon class, rear wheel drive I think they have it...apart from Lexus.
I could consider Subaru even, but ..boxer engine = thristy+problems =>money spent.

Wink
Cheers.

Hence your forum name. Wink

Tempted on Lexus too mate, but I am a bit concerned of the fuel bills...I was hoping I could reduce them a bit (hence my choice of the 4 cyl car over a 6 cyl) . More power, true that...but heavier car too...so much of a muchness really....

**** decision making process...studied it in school, working and analysing it every day and now I have to go through it as well...life is hard! Smile))))

Right, so I looked into Lancer Evo 7 as well...is rather nice to be honest and quite cheap. Well under my budget...awd and heaps of power...
Does anyone know how is the fuels consumption on the Evo's by any chance?
