Having a bit of trouble with my MR2 at the moment, its refusing to behave itself and has currently locked me out of it as the central locking wont open with the remote.

The remote is fine, it worked this morning and the LED is still lighting but the doors just wont open or the alarm disarm.

I could open the car with the key but it will set the alarm off.
Does anyone know if there is a way of switching off the alarm without using the remote? I've tried starting the engine but that doesn't do it!

I have a second remote at home which im banking on opening it but im just waiting for it to arrive (thanks dad)

Any help GREATLY appreciated as you will be getting me home from work

Most alarm's will go off but after around 20 seconds will go off and then reset itself.

Is the alarm a after market?
It should have its own fuse....
Hope you get it sorted..

Cheers mate, its the stock alarm and keyfob.
Did a little digging on mr2oc.co.uk and someone did say it should reset but it only goes quiet for a couple of minutes then goes nuts again. No sure if its the same if I leave the ignition/engine running for the entire time the alarms sounding.

Apparently I should be able to disarm it with the key so if I cant get in it with the other remote im going to try it in the passenger side door as I know turning it in the drivers side sets it off.

Never mind guys, just discovered battery is as flat as a pancake so no need to worry about the alarm!
