OK so i had one of these kits left over from my last batch (will order some more if people still want them)

i thought lets get it on the 350 as far as i know there are no 350s in the uk with it yet so i liked this challenge

along with the fact in america its all wired differently as the cars have extra features the uk cars dont :LOCMOD:

The mirror kits was fairly straight forward, if you Know how to use a DMM.

90% of the cables you require are located in the passengers foot well. the only cable i didnt look for was a constant 12v as i had already brought my own cable through the bulkhead from the battery.

Again i can offer this fitting to most cars and have worked on a variety will also be fitting to an MR2 soon and some vauxhall's not to mention the stagea...

Good job mate. I still haven't fitted mine from JAE. As soon as I regain use of my right hand though, I'll have me soldering iron out!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I can't really do anything fiddly at the moment with just my left hand anyway, so will do it in the new year, along with many other mods, when I regain normal movement and strength in my right!

What would happen if I split the output from the box in two and ran it to both mirrors? Just something I was thinking about, it may well not work, but thought you'd be the man to ask!

i have thought about this the theory would say yes but its working on the ASSUMPTION that both mirrors are set identical as it will return to a general point so if the passenger is set slightly higher than the driver the drivers would then raise up higher.....

Would it not go down X amount, and then up X amount - so the mirror comes back up the same distance it went down, regardless of where it started from? I am happy to have my mirrors set at exactly the same height anyway, if need be (or as close as possible). I know there is always the 'open the door and look' method, but I do like the idea of them both dipping.

if your planning on doing that it would be easier to do it in the drivers door and run 3 cables into the door

you may have a problem in adjusting the mirrors though as it wouldn't matter which you were set to as both would go up and down together when setting the mirrors due to the way the wiring is etc....
Namely
Reverse
12v
Ignition

I suggest for anyone running any after-market toys in the car they take a direct feed either from the battery or the constant 12v at the ignition ring you can use this same feed with a relay to make your own dedicated ignition feed i will detail this in a separate post but this will also allow you to disable all additional items you install in a car very easily...
