Hi all,

As many of you may have seen in LexusLee's for sale thread I intend to have the supercharger cradles copied.

The cradle is going to the fabricators today and the first copy should be ready for next week. Once that has been made I will test fit it to my car to ensure fitting accuracy and then have the fabricator make another 9 cradles so there will be 10 in total for sale.

Once I have all of the cradles I will have them powder coated black but if purchasers would like custom colours that can be accommodated with an additional charge.

I also intend to include all fixing bolts that are required to fix the cradle to the car and the Eaton M62 to the cradle.

The current estimated price per cradle is £400 although I hope to bring this down through negotiation with suppliers. The price includes the cost of the cradle, bolts, powder coating and postage.

Would people be interested before I pay to have 10 made? Would people be interested in the associated hard pipes or would people source these themselves?

If you are interested please put your name in the thread or send me a PM.

Any questions again ask them here or via PM.

Thanks

David.

Tbh its deliberate, because the fabricator and powder coaters havnt seen the actual cradle.

So hopefully it should come down once they can price the job accurately and I have confirmed numbers.

I'm sure you know this but remember when checking it out on your car that it has to mount *absolutely dead straight on*. 2 degrees out and it will abnormally wear the belt and cause odd results with your supercharger bearings because you'll have to overtighten the belt to stop slip.

What are people's options WRT the intake snorkel and the other cast parts required?

Dave, this depends on the colour. If it is a colour they already have in stock then I could probably get it for no extra charge but if its a colour they don't have then you would have to pay for the entire box of powder which can be quite expensive.

I will find out out which company's colour chart they use and try and post it up.

I think the fabricator is going to make a jig from the original to make sure they are correct and ill check them all on my car.

With regards to the pipes I havnt looked into it extensively but I would have thought they wouldn't be cast but just fabricated as close to the originals as possible but like I say I havnt looked into it really I was just asking out of interest.

I will do some research tonight and see if there is a company that could cast them locally.
