I've been looking for a 5th 18" Aero wheel to use as a spare for ages, and have found someone selling a set (3 good, one buckled) for good money. And I know there are a few of you on here looking to do the same.

So if I buy the set of 4, does anyone else need a spare and want to split the costs?

They don't have tyres, but I'm sure it won't be hard to find a part worn just to stick on as they will be used as spares anyway.

They are all advertised as 'in need of refurb' but only one is actually dented.

Pricing would be as follows:

Good wheels x 2: £40 (each)

Buckled Wheel: £30

Any takers?

Right so that's the two good ones potentially sold...just need a buyer for the dented one now.

I'm pretty sure the dented one is still useable as a spare, but would be worth getting sorted if it was in full time use.

My buckled one needed 450g of weight on it to ballance and each side was egg shaped!!

My dad weighed in 2 bucked Scenic wheels for £15 a piece a week or so ago, so may be more of a viable option?

Thing is I haven't bought the wheels yet, and as I only need one I don't really want to buy all 4 unless I can sell the ones I don't need. Otherwise it would still work out cheaper paying £60 for one on it's own. Sad

Well, I've got my 11 spokes up for sale and as I'm currently using one of those as my spare it would be nice to sell a set of 5, not 4..

I wouldnt mind paying a bit more for a straight one to get one, so could factor that in?

I've contacted the seller to see if he would be willing to just sell the good ones individually at a slightly higher price to save messing about. At least if he agrees to that they can be sent direct instead of paying for 2 lots of postage aswell.

He said he will sell me just the 3 good ones for £50 each.

It's collection only from Kent so I'll have to go get them myself.

But are you guys okay paying £50+postage? (shouldn't be much for a single wheel)

I found a courier that does a single wheel transport for about 15 quid, so that should do for me...
