I was chatting to a guy in a mobile phone store when I was in the states and he was saying how we have it so much better for mobile phones in the UK (which we do) so I told him that we pay $7 for a gallon of fuel compared to their $2.70 for a gallon so would rather have it their way! :lol:

Had to pay £1.26 for super the other day round here :cursing: and when your car only does around 12-17 mpg its not cheap, so the cars done about 300 miles in the past 2 month :Sulk: :cursing:

Around £1.14 at most places for the normal unleaded mate, i usually pay around £1.17 for super, in the past 2 weeks everywhere has gone up by around 5p a ltr? :Chair:

I am a little confused by the whole disparity across the country - the tax is the same everywhere isn't it? So this is just fuel stations in different areas taking different levels of profit?

Exactly. Although different refineries charge slightly different wholesale prices also.
