As the title says, YES, i have lost the one and only key i had for the IS200...

Any idea what can be done??

I am currently trying to source another set of locks ECU and keys from a scrapyard, have also spoken to some locksmiths.
Option they gave was to get another key from the Dealers and they would re flash the ECU and programme the new key + transponder to work.

but some locksmiths say thats its a dealer job only and the dealers are quoting £1500 Confusedhutit: Confusedhutit:

I have found a place in Hull, which will re-flash the ecu, if i buy a new key from the dealers it will cost me £120 for the Key, i send this company my ecu and the new key, they will program the ecu to accpet the new key and all will be well.

they have done 4 is200 so far, one this week. they charging £250. Company is called "Peace of Mind Security"..

If you have lost your last key, how can you get another cut??? can lexus cut one from numbers on a barrel (ignition or door?)

Lexus wont re-flash ecu's, or they wouldn't do mines anyway, it was a replacement they offered me with new keys at a cost of over £2000 for parts, ecu & 3 keys, then labour on top.

Peace of mind security are the boy's, Gary i dealt with, as 1 of the 4 is200's they have done was mine.

I recently bought a key from him : http://shop.ebay.co.uk/ejaz0786/m.html?_...ksid=p3686 It is a full key with three buttons transmitter with uncut blade that I cut it on my local locksmith. It seems to be a genuine item and until now it works perfect.
Jeff keep trying and follow the instructions and it will work.

I got a new key ordered from the dealers, and last night tried taking off the ECU, but i couldn't get the anti-tamper screws off attched to the ECU...

but guess what, i found the original key i lost early this morning..!!!!!!!!!!!! so now just going to put it all back together after work, and get rid of all **** and the spiders too that have been gathering on the car for the past 2 weeks..lol

Just going to program up the new key from the dealers and keep it as a spare...!!

the key actually fell out of my pocket, while i was on the step ladder getting the HD Recorders off the top shelf in the storage room, (IT/AV Technician) and fell in to the storage box, which has a small hole in the middle of it, and is 5 foot off the ground :confused1: :Chair: which i didn't check in the first place..!!!

so this morning while i was about put some more things in to the storage box, opened up the lid and there it was..  couldn't believe it!!!

Well i am going to be catching the train home for the last time today!! Confusedad: not saying that public transport is 'NOT' a good way to travel... lololololol

for info you need a Torx=plus security bit.. YOU WILL NOT find these in the security bit set you et but I did see them in halfords and ebay for about £12 for a set.

If you buy a set make sure it is the 5 pointed set and not the normal 6 point torx.
