Selling the Turbo and moving on....
With these cars its the torque that makes the conversion so good, the camry v6 is also utterly reliable - unlike the high power turbo mr2's.
BOOSST that at the moment is a point in discussion:blink: Most V6 conversions are roughly 190bhp, but with a few little mods can be more and the thoughts are, this one is roughly 220bhp .. but will stick it on a rolling road at some point and know for sure then.
Once its supercharged it will be between 270 /290 bhp :whistling:

Rolex Best of luck with finding a supercharger mate, i spoke with Woodsport months back about getting one for a an MR2 V6 conversion i was debating and was told they are like rocking horse poo. I managed to find one but it was in the states. Apparent the USA is the best place to look.

Keep an eye out over on 2brutal the home of mr2 engine swaps, you never know when one will come up.
Very nice mate, I had two MR2's and loved them, great memories
Still no V6 and the Turbo is now soldad:
While waiting for the plate change it has come to light that the owner never told DVLA of his conversion. So the Logbook is incorrect. The law has now changed which means he has to have a full engineers report etc and then wait for DVLA to approve the work before they will issue a new V5. Until that point in time, he has been told he is not allowed to drive the car even though it is taxed and insured as a V6...:Sulk:
As the old song goes by Squeeze, I have been tempted by another hock:
A 1996 MR2 Turbo running 385bhp has been offered and it is immaculate as well, although its silver and black.. huge amounts of work already done and I do know the guy is very well respected in the owners clubs...
I am in two minds about what to do....
